Kevin Meynell from the Deploy360 team will be presenting at ENOG 12 on the case for National CERT/CSIRTs this coming Tuesday. Drawing on his experience as Coordinator of TF-CSIRT, the European Forum for Computer Security and Incident Response Teams in a previous life, he’ll be outlining the benefits of national coordination and international cooperation in the region. The meeting is being held on 3-4 October 2016 at the Marriott Hotel in Yerevan, Armenia.
The Eurasia Network Operators’ Group (ENOG), is an open forum where technology experts from the Russian Federation, Commonwealth of Independent States and Eastern Europe gather to discuss operational issues and share knowledge and expertise about evolving the Internet in the region. This event is being hosted by ARMIX – the Armenian Internet Exchange and the RIPE NCC, with the Internet Society being one of the Gold Sponsors.
There are several topics of interest to Deploy360 on the programme, including a review of IPv6 connectivity in the region, DNSSEC deployment best practices, and rolling the Root Zone KSK. Paul Vixie will also be talking about DNS as a defence vector, so well worth coming along for, especially as registration is free-of-charge.
The full programme can be found on the ENOG 12 website.
