Washington, DC- 3 April 2017 — The Internet Society has named Tim Hoswitschka to the role of Senior Director, Partnerships and Development where he will be responsible for developing and leading ISOC’s global fundraising strategy. He will be tasked with creating and developing partnerships that raise awareness of the Internet Society’s mission and work, and increasing its membership and sponsorship programs.
Tim joins the Internet Society from the Canadian Red Cross, where he spent over 15 years in fundraising and corporate relations. He was most recently National Director of Corporate Relations, responsible for implementing a corporate sponsorships program that included one of the largest corporate partnerships within Red Cross globally. He was also part of the senior management team that developed a long term plan to double Canadian Red Cross fundraising results.
Prior to that, he was Fundraising and Corporate Relations Manager for the Canadian Red Cross in charge of national partnerships and developing strategies for donor acquisition. In addition to experience in business development, fundraising, and marketing, Tim’s career includes working for Weber Shandwick, a leading global communications agency.

Tim has a B.A. degree in Communications from the University of Ottawa. He is based in Ottawa, Ontario.
