Barefoot & Connected: Socio-behavioural impact of wireless broadband & digital intervention in a village campus

The Wireless for Communities (W4C) programme has connected rural and remote locations in as many as 38 districts across 18 states of India — and the numbers are growing. One of these many sites that have been connected through W4C is Barefoot College in a village called Tilonia that is located about 50 kilometres from Ajmer district in Rajasthan. Through the W4C programme, the entire 8-acre Barefoot College campus is made fully Wi-Fi enabled.

This publication, through carefully selected stories of change, is a socio-behavioural impact analysis of how the wireless broadband connectivity provided under the W4C programme has affected and impacted the people and practices at Barefoot College.
