1. Start a Fundraiser

When we work together, we can accomplish more great things. Support our work by amplifying our mission throughout your network. Start your own fundraiser through our giving platform or through Facebook to raise funds for the Internet Society.

2. Match Your Donation

Maximize your charitable impact! Many companies offer payroll deductions or matching gifts that can double or triple your donation. You may also convert volunteer hours into a cash donation. Use the search field below to check if your employer offers these programs.

3. Donate Stocks

We can accept donations in the form of stocks and this can be arranged from most brokerage accounts. To facilitate the transfer of stocks, please contact [email protected].

4. Give through IRA Charitable Rollovers

Qualified Charitable Distributions (IRA Charitable Rollovers) allow individuals 70½ or older to use their Traditional or Roth IRAs for tax-efficient charitable giving. To initiate a Qualified Charitable Distribution to Internet Society, submit this form to your IRA trustee and instruct them to send both the form and your gift to the Internet Society.

5. Donate from the European Union

Donors in select EU countries giving €40+ can receive tax credit through our partners the King Baudouin Foundation and Transnational Giving Network through the European Friends Fund Internet Society. A tax certificate will be issued directly to you or your local tax authority. If your country of tax residence is not available from the selected list, please contact [email protected].

Donations without tax certification or Gift Aid from the EU and the UK can be made by card, Google Pay or PayPal, or by Swiss Bank transfer. To facilitate a bank transfer, please contact [email protected].

6. Donate by Check

If you prefer to make a donation by check, please make it payable to ‘Internet Society’. If you are donating in honor of someone, please write that in the memo of your check. Tax receipts will be mailed within four to six weeks after the donation has been processed.

Why the Internet Society?

As a global charitable organization, we work with our community of over 120,000 like-minded people and partners who understand that the Internet is a critical resource that people should have access to and that we must protect. We understand the value that the Internet brings because we were founded by the people who helped build it.

Unlike many charities, our operating costs are fully covered by a not-for-profit organization, meaning 100% of your donation directly funds efforts to ensure the Internet is for everyone. Unless designated otherwise, donations are used by the Internet Society where most needed and are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law.
