The Canadian Multistakeholder Process: Enhancing IoT Security is a partnership between the Internet Society, Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED), the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA), CANARIE, and CIPPIC. The project began as a year-long process to develop recommendations for a set of norms and/or policies to remedy existing and potential security challenges in Canada’s national IoT ecosystem.
The sixth and final multistakeholder meeting took place on April 18, 2019. The agenda was dedicated to providing updates and final recommendations, and implementing the work that the groups have carried out over the past year on labeling, network resilience, and consumer empowerment.
This meeting celebrated and built out the finalized recommendations, identified next steps toward their implementation, and incorporated comments toward the final outcomes report.
