The Philippines Peering Forum was jointly organized by the Internet Society and Philippine Network Operator Group (PhNOG) as a pre-event leading to PhNOG Virtual PhNOG 2.0 conference in July.
The event hosted deliberations on peering and interconnection development in Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Philippines.
We recently launched a comparative study entitled Effective IXP strategies for the Asia-Pacific. In partnership with the Asia Pacific Internet Exchange Association, we set out to find effective strategies for building and growing IXPs in the region. We examined how peering has evolved across Asia-Pacific and how IXPs are providing faster, affordable, and resilient connectivity to people.
Presentations:
- Internet Landscape in APAC from IXP perspective, Katsuyasu Toyama, Chair of APIX association and COO of JPNAP
- Africa Peering and Interconnection – Key lessons, Michuki Mwangi, Senior Director, Internet Technology and Development, Internet Society
