Jonathan B. Postel Service Award Nomination Committee Statement on 2021 Selection

Note that this statement was made by the Jonathan B. Postel Service Award Nomination Committee.

After careful review and consideration of the 2021 Jonathan B. Postel Service award candidates, the Nomination Committee has been unable to reach consensus on an awardee. In this context, it has decided not to make an award in 2021.

The Nomination Committee is deeply committed to honoring Dr. Postel’s legacy and his work to make the Internet for everyone a possibility, and is dedicated to ensuring that the backgrounds and accomplishments of individuals selected for this award are a reflection of his service to the Internet community.

The next round of the Jonathan B. Postel Service Award call for nominations will open in March 2022. Updates and information on next year’s Award round will be published on the Postel Award webpage.
