Kenneth CHAN is the team lead of HKIX. He joined The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1992 and served HKIX since 2001. He is experienced in network design, implementation and operations of Internet exchange infrastructure and core networks. In his current position, he is the Chief Operating Officer in charge of full HKIX operations including business operations, technical and 24/7 NOC operations.
Chan has been taking part in leading various projects which include deployment of the first 10GE and 100GE switches for HKIX, establishing the first 100G connection in Hong Kong and setup of HKIX secondary site at HKIX2, new core site at HKIX1b, satellite sites for HKIX3/3b/4/5 and HKIX-R&E networks.
