Cyrus Namazi is a seasoned, versatile, and accomplished executive with a proven record in building and leading high caliber, multi-cultural, and highly productive teams. He is a result oriented executive and well-versed in public policy work, high-level relationship management, market research and development, Internet governance and technologies, as well as enterprise and consumer technologies and markets. With an extensive background and executive level of experience, Cyrus has built and led successful teams and businesses in a multitude of technology and public policy sectors.
Currently, Cyrus is the President and CEO of Morcom International, Inc. Founded in 1984, Morcom is an ISO 9001-certified industry leader in critical wireless communications technologies headquartered in Virginia, USA. Morcom has deep expertise in the design and deployment of broadband wireless infrastructure systems, aeronautical communications, RF spectrum monitoring, Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS), Private LTE networks, Public Safety Communications, and Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS).
Prior to Morcom, Cyrus worked as a Senior Vice President for the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). Reporting to the CEO, he helped build and led a global team of 70+ professionals and subject matter experts encompassing a wide range of skills and responsibilities including technical, operations, a 24x5 customer support center, Internet and DNS market research, consumer protection, and customer support.
Prior to ICANN Cyrus ran his own consulting firm providing sales and marketing consulting services to a Silicon Valley startup focused on next generation of solid-state memory technologies, among others. With a deep level of technical understanding of software and hardware, combined with solid marketing and business development skills, Cyrus has spearheaded and successfully scaled telecom and networking focused businesses several-fold throughout his professional career.
Cyrus has also represented his organizations to the mainstream global media including the BBC, The New York Times, and The Economist, among others.
Cyrus has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Southern California, both with honors.
