Amanda joined Consumers International following a highly-successful career working with blue-chip multinational fast-moving consumer goods corporations, small/medium-sized enterprises and the public sector.
She is a champion of ethical business practice and pro-consumer issues and has an exemplary track record in business, social enterprise and the public sector.
She was central to the conception, development and delivery of one of the first and most ambitious international consumer label and sustainable source certification programmes – the Marine Stewardship Council initiative set-up in partnership between Unilever PLC and the World Wide Fund for Nature.
Amanda has 17 years professional experience, including senior executive positions, working nationally and internationally on strategic communications, marketing and sustainable business.
She brings with her broad experience including ethical retail within the co-operative movement, corporate responsibility within the utilities sector and international PR.
She was shortlisted for the ‘Public Service’ category at the 2011 First Women Awards, hosted by the CBI and Real Business magazine recognising trailblazing women and in 2012 was awarded the ‘Responsible Business Game Changer’ Award by HRH Prince Wales charity, Business in the Community.
