Biografía

Danica Celebic is a strategic innovation advisor specialising in human-centred digital transformation, with over 12 years of experience driving impactful initiatives at the intersection of technology, business, and social development. Her career exemplifies the successful integration of commercial success with social impact and technological advancement.

At .ME Domain Registry, Danica championed initiatives that bridged digital divides while delivering business growth, later helping build a successful digital agency. Her for-profit experience complements her work in Internet governance and digital rights advocacy, including co-founding and currently co-leading the ISOC Montenegro Chapter where she focuses on strategic planning and key partnership building. Some of her initiatives include pioneering cybersafety programs for youth, advocating for Internet freedom, and fostering digital literacy.

Her expertise in multistakeholder collaboration is demonstrated through her current work with the United Nations in Montenegro on nationwide peace-building initiatives and co-founding AdaptAI, a consultancy supporting ethical and human-centred AI adoption. As a speaker in policy and business contexts, she has presented to the Council of Europe and regional Internet-governance-related events, while contributing to academia at the University of Westminster. She has taken part, in different capacities, in some of the major international business-tech conferences like WebSummit, TNW, and London TechWeek. Having worked with organisations globally, she brings a multidisciplinary perspective to Internet challenges.

A recipient of prestigious Chevening and Erasmus Mundus scholarships, she holds an MSc in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Enterprise Development from the University of Westminster and a BSc in Economics from the University of Montenegro, with studies at La Sapienza University of Rome. She has been a EuroSSIG Fellow and George E. Danis Eastern Mediterranean Security and Diplomacy Fellow, with her work featured at the Nobel Peace Center.
