Nojus Saad is a health technology entrepreneur, medical doctor, and social justice advocate with 7+ years of multinational research, capacity-building, and policy development expertise around digital healthcare, gender justice, and health technologies.
Nojus is the President & CEO of Youth For Women Foundation, the largest international humanitarian organization committed to digitally transforming healthcare systems across the Global South;
headquartered in Gif-sur-Yvette, France. His team has directly impacted over 5600 young people and women in 59 rural, refugee, and underserved societies of Iraq, India, and France.
Vice Chair of the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (PMNCH) at the World Health Organization (WHO), Saad represents the institution and contributes to developing global health policies at the WHO's 10th Global Conference on Health Promotion, the 67th UN Commission on Status of Women, 24th International Aids Conference, and the 12th IAS Conference on HIV Science.
Nojus serves as an expert adviser to Bond UK, where he consults the UK government’s international development sector on investments around rural research and digital healthcare transformation in the Middle East and North Africa region. He also co-chairs the Youth Leadership Council at the Global Fund for Children (GFC), where he contributes to developing the GFC’s global research & innovation strategy, and building new partnerships and donor relations with INGOs and UN Agencies.
Nojus has worked with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the Internet Society as an international ambassador for the UN global Internet Governance Forum. He has 5+ years of intensive social entrepreneurial experience in the Internet and technology governance and health-tech industry; innovating technology for UHC and strengthening digital literacy among the most vulnerable youth and women. He was invited by the United Nations and the Government of Poland to represent stakeholders at the 15th and 16th annual UN Internet Governance Forums.
Nojus also served as a Digital Policy Fellow at the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN)’s 77th Policy Forum in Washington, D.C., and 73rd Community Forum in Puerto Rico, United States where he contributed to developing and reforming global technical policies of the Internet’s DNS ecosystem for a healthier, more inclusive and interconnected Internet for all.
He is the former Kofi Annan ChangeMaker, One Young World Ambassador of Reckitt Benckiser plc, regional ambassador of the ITU Agency, Diana Award Judge, and a gender champion at Women Deliver. He was a recognized LGBTQIA+ rights scholar at ILGA World, and is a passionate fighter for the human rights and Digital health inclusion of vulnerable monitories worldwide.
Nojus was born to become an entrepreneur, with extensive expertise in the business industry; since he has mastered project management, HR, and entrepreneurial skills through his CEO responsibilities, apprenticeship with a local company, and his ground-breaking social enterprises.
Nojus was the leader of the Domestic Violence National Campaign that mobilized 550+ civil society, religious leaders, youth activists, and government officials for a nationwide domestic violence policy
reformation and implementation for women and children across rural Iraq and India.
His Foundation, with support from the Internet Society and the International Replication Institute, has also delivered a Digital Literacy Program; building the digital skills and literacy of 15 civil society organizations and 75+ young people. They have, in turn, organized social media awareness campaigns for combating disinformation around Covid-19 and gender justice; reaching hundreds of women and young people across Iraq.
Nojus is a Diana Award recipient humanitarian, a Contemplative Sciences Fellow at the University of Virginia, and a certified Medical Doctor (MBBS).
