Elisabeth Schauermann (Austria) is the YouthDIG Focal Point - Human Rights at the Pan-European Dialogue on Internet Governance (EuroDIG). She is currently working on a project that aims to develop an online platform for training and community actions in counter speech to online hate. Elisabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Transcultural Studies and a Master of Arts in Global Studies. She is an alumni of the 2016 European Summer School on Internet Governance, and is especially passionate about human rights and how they are exercised in digital contexts. Her other interests include equality in access and use and the empowerment of marginalized groups, so that the Internet continues to be a factor of socially sustainable change.
