Leiska Evanson is the managing director and lead consultant of her private firm, Evansons Strategy Consultants. Prior to starting her own practice, Leiska spent five years at Sagicor Life Inc working across strategic project management and insurance operations, leveraging her earlier experience in IT, web development, marketing and business analysis.
She has participated avidly in the Internet Society of Barbados since its inception, participating actively in local IT panels and discussions on privacy law, cybersecurity and public technology implementation. Leiska is also a regular attendee and former workshop presenter at All Things Open, the principal North American open source technology conference.
Leiska has spent time living, studying and working in North Carolina, Florida and New York before returning to her native Barbados.
