Kathleen Moriarty is a technology strategist and board advisor with over twenty five years of experience, helping companies lead through disruption. She is an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown SCS, also offering two corporate courses aimed at vendors to build-in security management at scale in support of the requirements of smaller organizations.
Formerly as CTO, Center for Internet Security (CIS), Kathleen defined and led technology strategy. Kathleen was a distinguished engineer and held several positions during her 13 years at Dell EMC in the Office of the CTO including Security Innovations Principal and Global Lead Security Architect (EMC). During her tenure at Dell EMC, she was appointed and served 2 terms as an IETF Security Area Director and member of the Internet Engineering Steering Group.
She is currently a board and program committee member for several prestigious conferences and organizations, such as RSA, mWISE, IETF Trust, SCORED, and Sevco.

Kathleen is an ardent supporter of the Internet Society mission, to grow and strengthen the Internet. She is an advocate for democratizing security and IT, providing tangible guidance and influencing standards to adopt architectural patterns that scale. This focus is in support of the requirements of small and medium businesses, observed during her experience supporting state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) organizations while at CIS.
