I started my career in the South African Foreign Service in 1989, supporting top management officials at the head office and working at several diplomatic offices abroad. My postings included Russia, the UK, and the USA, supporting ambassadors and mission staff in many administrative roles.
I also had the pleasure of doing several short-term relief postings in Ukraine, Japan, and Hong Kong. I was honored to be part of the 1994 inauguration team of former President Nelson Mandela and chosen to be a part of the support team during his 1989 Presidential visit to the UK, two of my career highlights.
For the past six years, I have managed fundraising events and office operations for a local nonprofit in Northern Virginia that focuses on rebuilding lives for those affected by homelessness. I am passionate about uplifting people and making a difference.
